Maria Ladurner’s voice has been praised as enchanting, bright and gentle, while at the same time strong and yet warm in colour. Not only the German radio station Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk MDR was delighted by Ladurner’s singing but more and more critics agree that her voice and overall performance is impressive.

Maria Ladurner’s passion is Early Music. The Austrian soprano has given concerts with renowned ensembles such as lautten compagney, Ensemble 1700, The Finnish Baroque Orchestra, laBarocca, Concerto Stella Matutina or the Orfeo Barockorchester. Cooperations with musicians such as Alfredo Bernardini, Ruben Jais, Michi Gaigg, Wolfgang Katschner, Gunar Letzbor, Dorothee Oberlinger and Jordi Savall have enriched her career significantly.

In the 2023/24 season Maria will be giving her role debut as Hanne in Haydns “Die Jahreszeiten”, as Gabriel and Eva in Haydns “Die Schöpfung” and as Galatea in Händels Cantata “Aci e Galatea”. She will also give her debut in Spain at Auditorio Nacional Nacional Madrid in Bachs Johannespassion and will be heared for the first time at the Netherlands, France and Sweden. Furthermore she will be guest with variouse programs in Italy, Belgium, Austria and Germany.

The versatile young singer gave her debut performance at the age of 19 as Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro at the Teatro Sociale Trento and at the festival Tiroler Festspiele Erl. The roles of Idaspe (Bajazet), Papagena (Die Zauberflöte), Anima (L’Huomo), Vespetta (Pimpinone), Venere (Polifemo), Hodel (Fiddler on the Roof), Gabrielle (la vie parisienne) and Pastore (Tosca) have taken her to Staatstheater Nürnberg, Oper Bonn, Markgräfliches Opernhaus Bayreuth, Musikfestspiele Potsdam Sanssouci and Seefestspiele Mörbisch. Maria Ladurner also performed at Konzerthaus Wien, Philharmonie Berlin, Brucknerhaus Linz, Auditorium Milano and at festivals such as the Innsbruck Early Music Festival, MA Festival Brugge, Styriarte, Resonanzen, Thüringer Bachwochen, Misteria Paschalia, Trigonale and Händelfestspiele Göttingen.

Maria Ladurner’s discography lists numerous recordings. Amongst them are her debut release „Arias for the emperor“ (pan classic) or the first ever recording of Bononcini’s Polifemo (harmonia mundi) under the baton of Dorothee Oberlinger, which won an Opus Klassik 2021 award. In January 2022 her CD „Storie di Napoli“ (audite) was released together with la festa musicale. In december 2023 “madonna mia” Marias new Solo-CD was released and in summer 2024 the album of “L’Huomo” will be published , with Maria singing the female main part Animia. 

Several prizes reward Ladurner’s dedication and confirm both her professionalism and her achievements in recent years. Amongst them is the first prize and Note 1 prize at H.I.F. Biber Competition. Together with her Ensemble Mozaïque Maria Ladurner succeeded at the Händel Competition Göttingen and the Competition Musikakademie Rheinsberger winning the first prize and the audience price in both competitions. 

Maria Ladurner studied at Vienna’s University of Music and Performing Arts, where she graduated receiving a Bachelor’s Degree. She then obtained a Master’s Degree in Baroque Singing at the University Mozarteum Salzburg, where she studied with Ulrike Hofbauer and Andreas Scholl.
